The two began chatting about various topics, with the stranger taking the lead in the conversation.

As they talked, the stranger made a surprising revelation: he claimed to be a seer. According to him, he had seen unknown people disturbing Rhoni’s family and suggested that dark forces were troubling his loved ones.

While they were still talking, another man passed by. The first stranger stopped him and told him that he, too, had problems affecting his family. Be cautious when strangers approach you with unusual stories, spiritual claims or promises, and never leave your valuables with someone you have just met.

For Rhoni, what began as a simple trip to hospital ended with the loss of his savings and phone—but also with a lesson he says he will carry for the rest of his life.

By, Brian Nyachae Rhoni was on his way to a hospital in Meru town to seek treatment for tonsils when an unexpected encounter turned his day into a painful—and unforgettable—experience.
